VAN NICHOLAS INTRODUCE A BRAND-NEW CROSS OVER GRAVEL RACER: THE ROWTAG

Heerenveen October the 17th, 2019 - Van Nicholas has traditionally created bikes for three broad disciplines: Road, MTB and Tour. The Rowtag has been designed from scratch to be the first Van Nicholas that could happily belong to any one of the three – and is best classified as ‘Adventure’!

The Rowtag is built around a compact, lively and adaptable frame, that delivers poised performance on rough tracks, smooth roads and anything in between. 650B or 29er wheels with ‘all-road’ tyre clearance allows the Rowtag to be set up to thrash around local gravel circuits or for multi-day bike-packing adventures far off the beaten track. Multiple frame mounts (two on top tube, seat tube and bottom of down tube, as well as three on top of the down tube) allow for innumerable kit hauling configurations, and the gravel specific, full carbon front fork also has cage mounts, so every spare bit of space can be utilised.

Integrated cables throughout help to keep the frame uncluttered (and help with the post-ride scrub down, too) and understated Van Nicholas ergonomics, particularly in the shape of the striking chain stay yoke, aid performance without compromising aesthetics. Disc brakes, an integrated tapered headset and thru-axles provide 21st century performance upgrades, and compatibility for a wide range of drivetrains and mechanical or electronic transmissions ensures the Rowtag can be configured to each rider’s individual requirements. Van Nicholas have even optimised the frame to allow for a dropper post (the cable for which is also integrated), adding yet another string to the Rowtag’s bow. With supremely balanced geometry designed to inspire confidence, whatever the terrain, and the potential to configure the build for a multitude of purposes, the Rowtag really is the ideal adventure companion.
